Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show
The Southwestern Exposition is three weeks of pure FUN. Wild West excitement and adventure combined with good old fashion family fun puts this show on a must see list for rodeo lovers. With twenty-four days of rodeo competition, livestock shows and lots of other attractions anyone can fit this into their schedule.

The Original Indoor Rodeo
Rodeos have been around ever since there were cattle and horses to be rounded up, branded or tamed. This Fort Worth rodeo is the original indoor rodeo, so the weather is never a problem. Rain, snow, sleet, or wind – it doesn’t matter – all those professional cowboys and cowgirls will be lined up to compete, with hats in hand and belt buckles shining.

Tough Competition
The competition is tough as men from the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association and gals from the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association go for top prizes. Bull riding, steer wresting, roping and bronc riding have the men primed and ready to go as they battle it out to be number one. Women compete in the barrel racing, flying around the barrels almost as one with the horse.

Xtreme Bulls
If those events aren't enough of a thrill for you, or you’re a cowboy who would like to go one step further in taking your life into your hands, then Xtreme Bulls is for you. This is some serious bull riding! The meanest toughest bulls out there ready to take on any cowboy who thinks he can handle it.

Lots of Thrills and Variety
Join in the Best of Mexico night for a slightly different look at the west. Colorful costumes, Mexican rodeo events and plenty of Mexican traditions to enjoy. One of the most thrilling of all events is the GMC Chuchwagon Races. Watch a team of horses fly around the arena pulling a chuckwagon in a heart stopping race to the finish.

There is even rodeo fun for the kids. The Calf Scramble has youngster chasing, dodging and scrambling to grab hold of that calf and hang on to him.

Family Fun
As always, you can make a trip to the Southwest Rodeo a family affair. The carnival is a colorful whirl of the usual rides and games. Planet World offers a hands-on look at farming and ranching for young and old alike. A petting zoo for the little tikes and a milking parlor gives you a back end view of a fairy farm.

Livestock
Along with any rodeo, you will find good livestock and this event is no different. Livestock judging goes on throughout the whole event. A Best of the Remuda sale kicks off the whole three week long event and is looked forward to every year.
